Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Please read before treating this as final. This page is drafted to reflect common, industry-standard practice for luxury event-planning businesses in Toronto and Ontario (deposit percentages, cancellation tiers, and data retention periods are based on typical practice in the wedding and event planning industry, and on Canadian small-business record-keeping norms). It is provided for convenience and is not legal advice. If Purple Blooms Collective's actual policies ever differ from what's below, update this page to match. We recommend having an Ontario-licensed lawyer review this page before relying on it as a binding agreement with clients.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By inquiring about, booking, or engaging the services of Purple Blooms Collective ("we," "us," "our"), you ("client," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services or this website.

2. Our Services

Purple Blooms Collective provides event curation and design services, including weddings, milestone celebrations, and styled affairs, serving clients based in Toronto and across Ontario. Services offered — such as full-service planning, partial planning, day-of coordination, or design-only packages — are outlined and agreed upon individually with each client, typically in a separate service agreement or proposal specific to the event.

3. Consultations & Booking

An initial consultation, whether by phone, video, or in person, does not constitute a booking. A date and services are considered confirmed only once a signed service agreement and the required retainer (see Section 4) have both been received.

4. Payments, Deposits & Retainers

A non-refundable retainer of 30% of the total service fee is required at signing to secure your event date. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before the event date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any additional costs approved by the client during planning (vendor changes, added services, etc.) will be invoiced separately. Late payment may result in a pause of planning services or, where the balance remains unpaid close to the event date, cancellation of the booking.

5. Cancellations, Postponements & Refunds

Because securing your date means turning away other clients and beginning vendor coordination and administrative work right away, cancellations are subject to the following schedule, based on how far out from the event date the cancellation is received in writing:

Postponements are accommodated where possible, subject to our availability on the new date and any resulting vendor rebooking fees, which are the client's responsibility. Where a refund is owed under the schedule above, it is issued to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Client Responsibilities

7. Third-Party Vendors

We work with a curated network of florists, venues, caterers, photographers, and other vendors, and may recommend, coordinate with, or contract vendors on your behalf. While we take care in selecting reputable partners, Purple Blooms Collective is not liable for the acts, omissions, quality, or performance of independent third-party vendors. Any contract for vendor services is between the client and that vendor unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Photography, Portfolio & Website Use

Unless a client requests otherwise in writing, Purple Blooms Collective may photograph or film events we curate, and may use resulting images in our portfolio, website gallery, social media, and marketing materials. Clients who prefer their event not be featured publicly may opt out at any time by emailing us before or after the event. Images displayed on this website remain the property of Purple Blooms Collective and/or our photography partners; visitors may view them but may not download, reproduce, or reuse them without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Purple Blooms Collective's total liability arising from any booking is limited to the total fees paid by the client for our services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including those arising from third-party vendor performance, weather, venue issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform obligations due to causes beyond their reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, labour disputes, or public health emergencies. In such cases, we will work in good faith with the client on rescheduling where possible.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Privacy Policy

13. Information We Collect

When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, event type, event date (if known), and any details you share in your message. We do not collect payment information through this website.

14. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to responding to your inquiry or delivering services you've booked, without your consent.

15. Third-Party Services

This website relies on the following third-party services, each of which may process limited technical data (such as IP address) as part of providing their service:

16. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and booking records for as long as our business relationship with you is active, and for up to seven years afterward, in line with Ontario's limitation period for contract-related claims and standard Canadian record-keeping practice (extended where needed to meet tax record-keeping requirements). After that period, records are securely deleted or anonymized. An inquiry that never leads to a booking is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to it, unless you ask us to keep it longer.

17. Your Privacy Rights

As a Canadian business, we handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and may withdraw consent for us to contact you, by emailing us at the address below.

18. Cookies

This website does not use its own tracking or advertising cookies. Third-party services embedded on the site (such as our form spam-protection widget) may set cookies necessary for their own functionality, governed by their respective privacy policies.
